Join some of New York's finest historians in our weekly interactive and dynamic tours to learn about the expansive history of the Brooklyn Bridge Park site!

Please meet at the entrance to Pier 1 for all tours.

All History Tours require an RSVP, please email rsvp@brooklynbridgepark.org to reserve your place and get added to our email list!

Wednesday, June 20 at 6:30pm: Framing Views, Old + New
Explore works of architecture close to and visible from the park, including 19th, 20th and 21st century buildings. Guide: Matthew Postal, Architectural Historian

Wednesday, June 27 at 6:30pm: The Brooklyn Bridge

Learn about the history, design, and construction of the Brooklyn Bridge through a series of fun and engaging activities and a scavenger hunt. Guide: Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy

Wednesday, August 8 at 6:30pm: Native New Yorkers
Using the park as the setting and authentic replicas from the NY Historical Society's touch collection, this walk will explore a time when the Lenape inhabited what is now New York City and parts of New York State, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Connecticut. Discover the multitude of ways the park has played a role in the history of transportation to and from this city. From tugboats to underwater subway tunnels, the Bush terminal where 100,000 GI’s shipped to Europe to nearby Pier35 where the Porto Rican Steamship line disembarked many of New York’s first Caribbean families, the park’s footprint has many stories to tell.
