The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Youth Soccer Program on Pier 5 intends to replicate a quality, suburban, recreational soccer experience for the children of BBP, minus the expense. Each age group is broken into co-ed teams that have a mix of training and games. Soccer is offered for children in grades 1 - 6 (parents MUST be present)
The spring 2014 season will begin March 15.
Saturday morning games:
9:00 - 10:15 AM - 1st Grade
10:15 - 11:30 AM - 2nd Grade
11:30 - 12:45 PM - 3rd & 4th Grade
12:45 - 2:00 PM - 5th & 6th Grade
The first half of the session is comprised of drills, followed by games. Additional practices will be on Wednesday afternoons. Practice is optional and will not be based on teams.
5:00 - 6:00 PM - 1st & 2nd Graders
6:00 - 7:00 PM - 3rd to 6th Graders
Uniforms will be provided, children must bring a ball and shin guards.
Our program is designed in partnership with the experts at Metro Soccer. All teams rely on volunteer parent coaches, so please consider coaching your child's team.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Adult Soccer League on Wednesday nights is run in a 6 v. 6 (5 and a goalkeeper) format, with both men’s and co-ed divisions. Each season is 10 games long. All games will be 50 minutes and will be played in hour intervals starting between 7:00pm-10:00pm. Each team will play in all time slots. A full list of rules and regulations can be found here.
Adult spring soccer will begin on March 12.

All three beach volleyball courts on Pier 6 are open for walk-up play 7 days a week from 6am to 10pm. For info on other ways to use the Pier 6 volleyball courts click here.
Brooklyn Bridge Park offers students unprecedented access to the waterfront, offering many students the chance to kayak for the first time. Registration opens on March 15.
LEARN TO KAYAK
This one-day program is available on Mondays and Tuesdays, June - August, from 10:00am-3:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Booked on first-come, first-serve basis, limited to 30 students per session.
Each day includes: safety protocol, life-vest fitting, basic stroke clinic, on-water session, estuary lesson and scheduled time on new Pier 2 courts.

PROGRESSIVE KAYAK SKILLS PROGRAM
This 4-day program for summer camps takes kayakers, ages 11-18, from beginners to intermediate over the course of four sessions. Each day will be different, building on the skills of the day before. The final day will feature a trip outside the embayment. The pace of progress will be calibrated to the experience of each individual and the group as a whole. The emphasis will be on fun, safety, and building confidence in a variety of skills.
The program is 2 hours per day, with the final day running from 10 am - 3 pm. Limited to 15 students per program.
