Fitness

Brooklyn Bridge Park offers a collection of fitness programs for various levels of skill - and all are free! Waterfront Workouts include Pilates, Early Morning Yoga, Zumba, Belly Dancing, and Hip Hop Aerobics. Sunset Pilates and Outdoor Fitness are additional sources of recreation and activity for our active park visitors. Join one or more of these programs for a healthy and fun way to enjoy this beautiful waterfront park.

Waterfront Workouts: Pilates with the Fitness Guru
The Fitness Guru returns with Pilates Mat classes overlooking the New York Harbor on the Empire Fulton Ferry Boardwalk.

Tuesdays, June 19–Sept 11 at 7pm

Waterfront Workouts: Early Morning Yoga with Dodge YMCA
This hour-long yoga class on Pier 1's Bridge View Lawn integrates postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to stretch, strengthen and condition

Mondays, July 2–August 27 at 7:30am

Waterfront Workouts: Zumba© with Dodge YMCA
Join the Dodge YMCA for weekly ZUMBA© classes on Pier 1's Promenade.  Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music, utilizing dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness program.

Sundays, July 1-August 26 at 4pm

Waterfront Workouts: Belly Dance with Dodge YMCA
Dance to Middle Eastern rhythms while learning traditional movements and combinations on the Pier 1 Promenade.  The class focuses on the core muscles, emphasizing muscular isolations.  

Fridays, July 2–27 at 7pm

Waterfront Workouts: Hip Hop Dance Aerobics with Dodge YMCA
Hip Hop Dance Aerobics is a cardiovascular workout using urban upbeat Hip Hop music.  The class teaches step by step movements with fun choreography, so you can get your feet moving and your heart pumping on the Pier 1 Promenade.

Sunset Pilates with Body In Balance Studio
Join Lou Cornacchia, founder of Body in Balance Studio, for sunset pilates on Pier 6 for an Intermediate Pilates Mat Class. Students will learn proper technique, core muscle strength, spinal alignment and shoulder stabilization.

Thursdays, June 21–September 27 at 7pm

Outdoor Fitness with Brooklyn Strength
Strength training and aerobic intervals in and around Brooklyn Bridge Park. Meet at Pier 6, make sure to meet on time because the class is mobile!
