The Blues Brothers (R) – 1980, 133 min
Short: Mr. Okra by T.G. Herrington
DJ: Soulstatic
Jake and Elwood Blues are on a mission from God. And thank the Lord they aren’t alone. Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, and James Brown all join their race to rescue nuns from overdue taxes. Once they get their band back together, not even Chicago Neo-Nazis will be able to stop the Blues Boys in this manic, car-crash-crazy musical.
Movies With A View is one of the city's premiere outdoor film series with an eclectic lineup of films and breathtaking views of the NYC waterfront. The films are chosen by an all-volunteer Film Committee and each feature is preceded by a short film, this year curated by BAMcinématik. DJs from Brooklyn Radio kick off the evening, spinning tunes as the sun sets and bike valet provided by Transportation Alternatives.Check out the stars with Orion telescopes generously donated by Syfy! The Amateur Astronomers Association of New York will be at the movies to help you locate stars and planets in the night sky.
