Antoine Zerega built the first American pasta factory in 1848 on Front Street in DUMBO which remained in operation until the 1950s when Antoine's grandson moved it to New Jersey.

Michael Van Valkenburgh at a community meetingGet involved and make your voice heard.  Both the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation host public meetings to provide information and solicit input toward the planning of Brooklyn Bridge Park.
