After twenty years of community planning and advocacy, the plan for Brooklyn Bridge Park now has all necessary government approvals.  Title to Piers 1-5 were transferred from the Port Authority to the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation in May 2006, and the title to the other portions of the future Park will be transferred shortly.  Soon thereafter this 1.3 mile of waterfront will be transformed into a magnificent park for all of us. 

As the park moves into the next phase of detailed design and construction there are many issues to be addressed and decisions to be made.  The Conservancy will be advocating for the Brooklyn and wider communities every step of the way, so that this great plan will reach its fullest potential.
