Main Street Lot

MAIN STREET is a 4.8-acre park featuring a popular nautically-themed playground and dog run in addition to rolling lawns and get-downs to the water’s edge to enjoy spectacular views.

The lawn at Main Street will be closed through Winter 2011 as Brooklyn Bridge Park undertakes an extensive and much-needed lawn rejuvenation program. The program involves weeding and aerating, completing an intensive seeding program, and increasing the nutrient content of the turf with organic compost teas. The pathways and other spaces of Main Street will remain open.

When the lawn re-opens in Spring 2012, it will be a dog-free environment, as are all other grass areas of the park.  Dogs are welcome at the Main Street dog run and on pathways and promenades.

Visitors to Main Street now have access to DUMBO's free wi-fi network! DUMBO Wi-Fi is made possible by the collaboration of the DUMBO Business Improvement District, Two Trees Management Company and NYCwireless.
