Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy
Fun Fact

Make a Difference - Get Involved!

Pier 4 Planting DaffodilsThe Conservancy hosts Park Stewardship events throughout the season (May - Oct.) to maintain and beautify Brooklyn Bridge Park.  Our Green Team meets every Tuesday at 6 PM and Saturday at 10 AM.  Join us and make a difference.

Last year the Conservancy and hundreds of volunteers participated in two "It's My Park" Days, National Estuaries Day, International Coastal Clean-up Day, as well as our weekly Green Team sessions.  We also planted hundreds of bulbs as part of the Daffodil Project.

The results are clear:

  • Harbor Camp 2Three thriving native habitats - a coastal community of native trees and shrubs; bird and butterfly meadow and a sand dune grass habitat
  • Removal of hundreds of pounds of debris and garbage from the coves;
  • Environmental education activities for hundreds of youngsters;
  • The creation of new wheelchair accessible paths;
  • And a thriving Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Get involved and join us for some good, dirty fun as we care for the park.  Get our regular e-updates to stay informed about upcoming Park events and volunteer opportunities.  We depend on volunteers to keep the park beautiful and green for the tens of thousands of visitors who come every year.
