Rove the Cove

Rove the Cove introduces students to the East River and the Hudson River Estuary. The design of Brooklyn Bridge Park offers unique access to the urban littoral zone and students can discover and discuss the special inter-tidal creatures that call this harsh environment home. Students will participate in a site-specific scavenger hunts and explore the health of the East River through observation and hands-on water tests.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Suggested ages 5-15. FREE!

Rove the Cove is presented by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy in partnership with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation.

Lead support for educational programming has been made available by Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez of the 12th Congressional District through a grant with the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention. Additional funding has been provided by TD Charitable Foundation and Con Edison.
