Take front row seats in Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park or the Main Street section of Brooklyn Bridge Park for the 10th Annual Liberty World Challenge. Teams from across the globe will start from the East River and race a course on the New York Harbor.
One of the largest sporting events in New York Harbor and one of the premier outrigger canoe races in the world, the day long competition hosts hundreds of international paddlers and represents the best of the Aloha spirit. Prior Liberty Competitions have brought together men's, women's and mixed teams from Tahiti, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Hawaii and the East and West coast of the United States. The outriggers will be launched from the cove at Brooklyn Bridge Park throughout the day. For more information, visit http://www.newyorkoutrigger.org/.
