Fun Fact
The plants around the park cove, put in place by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, include many native coastal species. The plants were intentionally chosen to provide highly diversified feeding and nesting habitats for birds, and to attract pollinators, especially butterflies.

Tuesday Tour Pic ResizedWalk the pathways of Pier 1 with Brooklyn Bridge Park designers and planners and get a sneak peak of the southern portion of Pier 1, which will open in late summer!  Visitors will learn the history of the site, the process that led to its creation, features of its landscape and innovative sustainable elements that make this truly a green park. 

Reservations recommended, not necessary.
