Movies With a View presents Raiders of the Lost Ark
Thursday, Aug 17, 2006

Raiders of the Lost Ark posterThe bullwhip to Indiana Jones is like a marshmallow to MacGyver and it can get him out of any tight situation. And there are many to choose from in this Steven Spielberg- George Lucas adventure.

Indiana Jones, played by Harrison Ford, is an archeology professor at the University of Chicago by day, and is hired by the US government to protect the Ark of the Covenant from Nazis, who are hoping to use its powers for evil. Indiana and his companions encounter many challenges as they work to regain control of the Ark from the Nazis including snakes, which Indiana finds particularly repulsive.

Roger Ebert claims this movie has the best chase scene he has ever watched, even better than “The French Connection”. But this film also has very humorous moments as the characters face one dangerous circumstance after another with a certain understated heroism. We hope you will join us for another adventure across three continents, under the Bridge.
