Once again this summer, local boating groups and boathouses from around the Harbor will offer free kayaking and community rowing at the "cove between the bridges" in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

There is no need to sign-up in advance; boating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  Bring clothes you don’t mind getting wet, and shoes or sandals suitable for walking on a rocky beach. No training or prior experience is needed. The only requirement is that you know how to swim. All equipment is provided free. Please note that there will be some variation in times due to tide conditions.

Kayaking and canoeing will be inside a protected cove. Rowing will be in a group rowboat with an experienced guide.

Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present. FREE!
