  • What are COVID-19 health and safety protocols at MWAV?

The Conservancy is excited to welcome New Yorkers back to Harbor View Lawn for our beloved Movies with a View (MWAV) series. While COVID-19 restrictions are no longer in place per State & City health guidelines, the Conservancy understands that the pandemic is not over. There is still a risk of exposure to COVID-19 in both indoor and outdoor spaces where others are present. By attending MWAV, you and your party voluntarily assume these risks as they pertain to exposure to COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, or suspect that you may have been exposed to COVID-19, we urge you to please stay home.

The continued use of masks in crowded settings is recommended for all non-vaccinated individuals. We ask that unvaccinated individuals also maintain social distancing. Regardless of vaccination status, please wear a mask and allow for space between individuals/households if it makes you feel more comfortable. Please respect the safety needs of your fellow moviegoers, and continue to practice good personal hygiene.

  • Is there a health screening / proof of vaccination required?

Maintaining safety is our number one priority and we are following State, City, and CDC guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19. At this time, no health screening or proof of vaccination is required to attend MWAV.

Due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19 in New York City, the continued use of masks in crowded settings is recommended for all non-vaccinated individuals.  We ask that unvaccinated individuals also maintain social distancing.

  • Will food and drinks be available for purchase?

Yes! This year, we’re partnering with Smorgasburg to bring in sweet treats, savory snacks, and drinks — including beer and wine — to the movies.

  • Can I bring my own food?

Of course. Feel free to bring in your own food, but outside alcohol is still prohibited on the lawn. To that end, be advised that bag checks will be conducted at the entrance.

  • Why is there a bag check?

Outside alcohol and glass bottles have always been prohibited in the Park. With food and drink options from Smorgasburg, we want to remind you of this policy in order to ensure the safety and security of moviegoers.

  • What accommodations are there for accessibility?

The movies will be captioned, and if you need a seat, please see a Conservancy staff member at one of our welcome tents upon arrival. There is reserved seating at the top of the lawn (on the hardscape) for people who require physical accommodations.

  • Can I bring my own chairs, or my dog? What can I bring?

No and no unfortunately. Chairs (other than wheelchairs) are not allowed on the lawn, so please bring your own blanket.

  • Where are restrooms located?

The nearest restrooms are available all night at the Pier 1 Turnaround lot, in Squibb Park and on Pier 2, as well as the Pierhouse bathrooms until 7:30 PM.

  • Where can I park my bike?

We are happy that Transportation Alternatives will once again be providing free bike valet services for moviegoers at the Pier 1 Turnaround lot off Furman Street.
