Save the date for our next fishing clinic sessions on Sunday, August 1 from 4:00pm-7:00pm and Sunday, August 29 from 2:30pm-5:30pm!
Take part in our citizen science Fishing Clinics and contribute to ecological surveys with marine biologists. The Conservancy’s rod and reel clinics are designed to introduce the public to the ecology and life of the East River, in order to foster conservation and environmental stewardship of our waterways. Working with expert anglers and a marine biologist, participants will learn the basics of line fishing, while contributing to an ecological survey — helping to monitor the health of our river. All organisms caught are cared for by professionals and safely returned back to the water.
All ages welcome, equipment provided on site.
Advanced registration required. Registration for Saturday, August 1 is now open at this link. Registration opens two weeks in advance of each session. We will also do our utmost to accommodate as many walk-ups as space allows.
