Celebrate the changing of the seasons at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s annual Harvest Festival!

Activities for the day include a pumpkin patch, facepainting, music, live animals, arts & crafts, enrichment activities, story hour, lawn games, and more.

Join the Conservancy and our community partners for this beloved, free family festival celebrating the season on Pier 6!

Activities by local partners including: BAM, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Billion Oyster Project, Brooklyn Game Lab, City Growers, Drag Queen Story Hour, DSNY/ Big Reuse, Everyday Athlete, Favor Your Day, Genspace, NORY, NYC Audubon, Private Picassos, Spark, and YMCA Lawn Games.

Partner Activity Descriptions

  • Color with BAMkids.

  • Learn about the Brooklyn Bridge Park Oyster Reef through a hands-on touch tank with Billion Oyster Project.

  • Calling all green thumbs! Create a plant press using everyday materials, and use it to collect and appreciate the park’s plants with Brooklyn Children’s Museum.

  • Duel at the foam fencing battle lab with Brooklyn Game Lab.

  • Decorate your own ‘seed packet’ and learn about the lifecycle of a seed with City Growers.

  • Listen to Drag Queen Cholula Lemon read books and sing songs at Drag Queen Story Hour.

  • Learn about the ‘Make Compost, Not Trash’ campaign through coloring books and temporary tattoos with DSNY / Big Reuse.

  • Try a pop-up ninja obstacle course, skateboarding, and parkour with Everyday Athlete.

  • Make fun fall crafts at a DIY art decorating table with Favor Your Day.

  • Rediscover your favorite harvest fruits and vegetables through science experiments with Genspace.

  • Investigate circuitry in a STEM art and technology pumpkin piano with NORY.

  • Learn about NYC bird conversation and the feathered friends that call this city home with the NYC Audubon Society.

  • Make a DIY textured leaf rubbing with Private Picassos.

  • Use real apples and tempura to paint with The Craft Studio.

  • Enjoy an interactive and educational live animal presentation with Party Animals NYC.
