Glide along the water while kayaking from Pier 2 on Saturdays this summer and fall!

Presented in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse, kayaking runs on Saturdays from 10:00am-3:00pm through the end of September. All levels are welcome. Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present.

Kayaking also runs on Wednesday evenings through the end of August, to learn more visit here.

Advanced registration required. Registration will open one week in advance at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse website on Tuesday, May 25 at 5:00pm for Saturday, June 5. Thereafter, you can book a reservation free of charge up to 2 weeks in advance. Check back daily for more openings.

Important Information

  • Advanced registration is required for this activity. Due to COVID-19, limited capacity is available. Walk ups will be accommodated on-site if there are still spaces.
  • All participants must sign a waiver before participating.
  • Participants must wear a face covering at all times.
  • Children and teens under 18 must have an adult guardian present.
  • Singles are for adults, or any kayaker with a parent/guardian present that is at least 14 years old.
  • Doubles are for one adult and no more than one child under 14 or paddler that needs assistance. Shared boats must be from the same household.
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. You will only be able to paddle during the time slot for which you registered.

Mask Guidance

May 19: While the CDC and NY State have eased outdoor mask guidance for vaccinated individuals, masks for public gatherings are still recommended. With that, all participants in organized Park programs, even those who are fully vaccinated, will be required to wear a face covering. We will continue to monitor and respond to CDC, State, and City guidelines over the coming weeks.
