On Saturday, August 27, Cebo Carr (NXGN) teaches you how to House dance.

House dance is often improvised with an emphasis on footwork and grooves through the body that play off of rhythms within Jazz, Soul, and Deep House music. It’s a dance for every body, with a great range of movement that can be tailored to the individual. Music by DJ Jaze Art Remote.

About the Festival of New York

This summer marks the inaugural Festival of New York, a collaboration and celebration of the best this city has to offer: art, culture, and most importantly, US—the people whose hearts beat for New York. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we’re banding together—we’re talking live musical events, city-wide dance parties, neighborhood sports, volunteer opportunities, and so much more. The Festival offers the chance to grow, connect, and take action, all while celebrating everything that makes our city the place to be. Let’s celebrate our resilience and show the world that New York never left. The comeback summer is here!
