Expert instructors and local dance legends teach you how to move on two special evenings, highlighting two distinct dance styles that have important roots here in NYC. Registration encouraged, but not required; sign up here.
Each night starts off with a 40-minute, all-levels introductory class, which will transition into a full on dance party! All are welcome, regardless of skill level.
House dance is often improvised with an emphasis on footwork and grooves through the body that play off of rhythms within Jazz, Soul, and Deep House music. It’s a dance for every body, with a great range of movement that can be tailored to the individual. Music by DJ Jaze Art Remote.
On Saturday, July 23, Talia Castro-Pozo hosts a Salsa lesson and dance social.
From beginner to all levels, this “On 2” New York Style Salsa class with Talia and a special guest will keep you moving! Learn the basic shines (solo steps) and some fancy turning patterns, which will get you prepped for the open session. Feel free to come with or without a partner.
Drinks and small bites provided by Fornino.
