Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP) released a Requests for Proposals (RFP) for a food concessionaire to lease, operate, and maintain a high quality concession in the Smokestack Building at Water and Old Fulton Streets, adjacent to Emily Warren Roebling Plaza.
The Smokestack Building is prominently located adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge. Situated between Pier 1 and the Empire Fulton Ferry sections of the Park, the site has great visibility from Old Fulton Street and sits in a highly trafficked pedestrian thoroughfare. Empire Fulton Ferry features spectacular views of the harbor and is the location of the historic Tobacco Warehouse, currently home to St. Ann’s Warehouse, Jane’s Carousel, and Empire Stores. Located at the foot of Old Fulton Street, Fulton Ferry Landing is one of Brooklyn’s most historic sites and a popular destination. The concession includes approximately 450 sq. ft. of interior space with walk-up ordering windows and the potential for outdoor seating.
BBP is seeking inventive and creative proposals from quality operators with solid backgrounds in the food service industry. The new concession will complement the Park’s ambience, aesthetics, and surrounding areas while providing a convenient service to the public.
