The rubber meets the handball court New York City-style on Pier 2. Get your game on as a duo, or team up with another pair and try to score by keeping the other side from serving back your ball. Then savor your victory beneath the shady shelter built from a historic shed skeleton.

You must bring your own equipment to play any of the sports at the park.
Drop in to play on the Pier 5 turf or Pier 6 volleyball courts (6:00 AM–11:00 PM) when leagues are not scheduled. Drop in times are first come, first served. Leagues that have timed permits are not allowed to use open play times. When others are looking to play, please keep play time to one hour.
All pickleball courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to host a tournament, or other type of Pickleball special event, a special event permit is required.
Check back for seasonal volleyball court and soccer turf schedules. Below schedules do not reflect one-off permitted events or maintenance closures – these will be noted on our Alerts page whenever possible.
Pier 5 Turf is otherwise open for public use, 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Yes. There are water fountains throughout Brooklyn Bridge Park and each has a water bottle filling feature.
Water fountains are turned off for the winter season when outside temperatures reach freezing.
